There was a book I read about 8 years ago, no idea if it was new then or not, that involved a group of students, I think, and took place in or started in Dumbarton Oaks, in Wash. DC.
The details are extremely fuzzy, but I think it was a group of college students and had a esoteric plot, somewhat like Foucalt’s Pendulum with a mix of secret societies involved, ie Templars, Rosicrucians, etc…
Any help in ID’ing this book would be greatly appreciated.

Did you look over the Dumbarton Oaks Gardens site? They have a publications link but my eyes glazed over when I tried to scan through it.
I did actually, but the book wasn’t really about D. Oaks, but I think started there or had people studying near there in the plot, it was just the only thing I could think of as a distinguishing characteristic.
At least 3 main characters in the main group. One leader, a girl and a secondary guy who was the main narrator.
Bah, it was a very minor piece of sci-fi / fantasy I’ve been trying to locate.
