So I was feeling nostalgic and thinking about shows I watched as a kid, and realized there’s one I only remember a few tiny bits of. If I could just remember the name, I could find out more about it.
Anyway, it took place in a department store. There was a mannequin who came to life after closing. There were a couple other characters who were (I’m pretty sure) muppets, and I think there was also a human female lead–whether she was a janitor or something else, I have no clue.
Once there was an episode that involved a muppet having a birthday party, and the mannequin being sad because he had no birthday to celebrate.
And that’s all I remember. Can anybody help me out? Or am I just making it up?
Really? Because I was thinking about this show about turtles that mutated. And these mutant turtles trained under a ninja rat and these mutant ninja turtles all had teenage personalities. I think it was called The Turtles that Stopped Being Turtles and Mutated Into Teenaged Ninjas.
Totally swiped from an old ep of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Daniel Striped Tiger had a birthday and Purple Panda was sad because he didn’t have a birthday, then Daniel gave PP his birthday but was sad because now he didn’t have one, until Lady Elaine explained that two people can have the same birthday.
Understand that Today’s Special was a Canadian production (like so much of Nick’s early programming). Those nefarious Canadians are notorious American children programming plot line stealers!
