ID this old cartoon for me re: very imaginative kid

ISTR it aired once in a blue moon on Saturday mornings in the Seventies, along with the Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner cartoons. Might’ve been made in the Forties or Fifties, about a little boy with a very active imagination. He’d be watching TV or reading a book and would go off on a flight of fancy - one time it was a trip to the Moon, I think - that would only end when his mom called him back to reality for a snack or dinner.

Ralph Phillips:
From A to Zzzzz
Boyhood Daze

That’s him - thanks!

Heh. Just realized he has the same dreamy stare as the dog from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (another Chuck Jones classic).

Ralph Phillips also appeared in a television pilot entitled The Adventures of the Road Runner, which contained the complete From A to Zzzzz cartoon alongside new footage with the Road Runner. Some of the new footage of Ralph Phillips watching the Road Runner was edited into the later short Zip Zip Hooray. Jones also directed two recruitment films for the U.S. Army featuring a teenaged Ralph: 90-Day Wondering and Drafty, Isn’t It?

That stare/those eyes are an instant clue that Chuck Jones was on the scene.

Hmm… I wonder if Dopers can think of any other ‘tells’ like that in classic animation?
