I’m looking for a book that I read about 4 years ago.
It’s about this female scientist who discovers a wormhole-type device that can look into anybody at any time including the past…this discovery leads to the end of privacy among others as well the revelations about the ‘real’ story behind Jesus. Somewhere trhown is a love-interest and a resistance group…
Thanks,
If it was a new book when you read it, it’s probably The Light of Other Days by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter, published in 2000.
I think the other treatments of the general idea (I know Bob Shaw did one, but can’t recall the name, and Asimov had a story on those lines as well) were all at shorter lengths, but I could be forgetting something. It’s an idea that has been used a number of times, but I think Light is the only novel-length treatment (and certainly the only recent one).
Okay, GBH,
Could you help me with my book. I read this…oh, 15 years ago while in Junior High.
It’s about a world where every kid is born with Telekenisis but loses their power when they grow up…say at puberty.
I’m sorry, that is all I remember. It was a paperback book in our library.
