Years ago I read a trilogy (I think) of books about a young hero who was a “flinger.” He and others could transport things across space with their minds. A criminal organization was after him because of his early contact with a strange alien. He makes friends with different aliens, has a pet proto-saur, and the “flingers” all work for the same company and wear sparkly shirts. Is this ringing any bells with anybody? They weren’t Literature by any means, but they were reasonably entertaining.
The series is called “The Journeys of Mcgill Feighan,” by Kevin O’Donnell.
Bingo! I knew I could count on you! Thanks!
