My thought is this would be perfect for Survivor but could work with any reality show.
The show runs on TV as it does not, but the final show is not televised live but released as a one week or weekend run movie. They would make a ton off of the ticket sales and on something like Survivor with the gratuitous blurring, they could run uncensored clips of the show.
Ideas on why it would fail:
Would the loss of advertisers be more than the revenue from the ticket sales?
Would the lagtime between filming the announcement of the winner and the release of the movie mean spoilers?
Would the number of ticket sales be a significant percent of those who watch at home for free?
