Ideas for office mischief

Your’re no fun.

I was teaching Visual Basic in another teacher’s classroom. One of my students took a screenshot of the desktop and set it as the background of a VB form. He then wrote code so that when anyone clicked on the form, a message box would show up and give some sort of message like “I didn’t tell you you could click here.” He then started the program with the form maximized and borderless and left it running for the next class. The other teacher was a business teacher and knew nothing about programming, so when the student reported the problem that they had with the computer, he thought some serious hacking had been going on and was quite irate. While I did feel I had to discipline the young man that did it, all of us in the Tech department thought it quite clever.

My uncle is a big prankster. He told me this story, but I can’t remember if he did it or someone did it to him.

Anyway, the victim gets to work and sees a small jar of fish food sitting on top of his monitor.

He shrugs, removes the jar and gets to work.

A few hours later, he opens his desk drawer and finds it lined with plastic, filled with water, and containing 2 goldfish.
