The scene: VH-1’s Heavy: The Story of Metal.
The episode: #3, Looks That Kill (the one about the Sunset Strip hair bands)
There’s a piece they play three or four times, no lyrics, just a 5-10 second bit of music. Kinda darkish, especially compared to the other stuff they play during that episode.
It doesn’t seem to be by any of the bands heavily featured in that episode - Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, W.A.S.P., etc.
Any ideas?
Seen the ep over bits and pieces, but can’t bring it to front of mind well enough to suss that out.

Unfortunately not. There is a clip from that episode on YouTube but it’s all Motley Crue stuff in the background.
I’m starting to think it might be a stock track; it plays at least twice, but they never play any lyrics.
