Identify fifty Eighties movies by a single screenshot each

I got 49.
I missed one where not only hadn’t I seen the film, but I’d never seen any of the other choices as well.

I would guess that I’d never seen > 50% of the films in the list.

All of the first 25. I had to refresh every page after about 20 and it’s just taking too much time. Pretty easy. If I’ve seen the movie or trailer I’ll probably get it.

That was the only one I missed, too. Never heard of it either.

Got bored after 25 questions. Too easy.

I think part of the problem is, the multiple choice answers are ridiculous.

So you have a picture of two dudes wearing pilot’s uniforms. Your choice are:

Clue
Adventures in Babysitting
Top Gun
Beetlejuice

Well, duh! I wonder which one it could possibly be.

I got 50/50. Not too hard. A few I hadn’t seen, but I was able to use the process of elimination to get to the right answer each time.

I was using Firefox, and I turned off Ad Block and it worked.

If you guys like John Cusack, I highly recommend Better Off Dead. I like it better than Say Anything.

I got 50/50. It was not particularly a hard quiz. There were about a dozen movies I have never seen but was able to make an educated guess.

Excellent era for movies tho. Sigh.

47/50. All the ones I missed I had it down to 2 and I picked the wrong one!!

I got them all, and I’m hardly a movie buff.

Better Off Dead is probably my favorite 80s comedy.

I missed one: “Better Off Dead.” Never saw it. I guess I’ll have to watch it now.

Was one of my favorites and I’m not sure why it wasn’t a bigger hit. The scene in question is among my least favorites of the film, but overall a fun, if not French, movie. Please watch it at our suggestion, and if you like it, I want my $2.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Missed the Predator one even though I have seen Aliens a dozen times. Duh. Otherwise they were easy.

I guess a lot of people here aren’t John Cusack fans. Wouldn’t say I’m a huge movie buff, 80s or otherwise, but I’m pretty familiar with his filmography and thought “Better Off Dead” was one of his more known movies. Maybe that’s just because it used to be played on cable all the time when I was a teenager. I get that Lane Meyer is no Lloyd Dobler, but just as recognizable to me.

Oh yeah, so how’d you miss “Once Upon a time in America”, then?

But you’re generally right. I only had one where the people in frame were in two movies offered as choices, and it was easy to tell they weren’t in Harlem Nights as long as you’d seen the poster for ether of the movies.

I got 50/50, but I used to work in a video store. If I didn’t get a perfect score, I’d have to go back in time and turn my name badge in.

I got 48/50, and I don’t think I’ve seen half the films.

Whoa, same here.

Whas it really that popular?

OTOH I never saw about 4 movies were I was right about, like in the case of the remake of “The Thing”. I have absorbed lots of movie history about movie special effects that included John Carpenter.

I guessed the first one, but I don’t know if I was right or not, because I’m one of the 1% who can’t even figure out how to see the result and move on the next item in clickbait sites. Do I have to disable uBlock?

48/50 and I don’t really watch movies. I used the process of elimination to my advantage though.

ETA: jtur88, I couldn’t get it to work in Chrome or Firefox, both with Adblock, but it worked in Internet Explorer.

50/50 including 2 movies I’ve never seen (but knew enough about).

Most were really easy. A couple required looking a bit closer.

50 out of 50!

…forgot how cute Winona Ryder was in ‘Heathers’.
(…and how cute she still is.*)

*…what she’d look like if she ever read I said that.

49/50. Very easy.

I will add to the recommendations to see Better Off Dead. Great comedy.
