The headline says “89% Of People Can’t Identify All 50 '80s Movies From Just One Screenshot. Can You?” Dunno where they got the 89% figure from - I got all but three, and I haven’t even seen at least a dozen of them.

They made it up out of whole cloth. If you get all 50, you can have a feeling of superiority, and if you don’t you can feel consoled that at least most other people fail, too. Meanwhile, you provide them with 50 page views to sell to their advertisers, which is the real purpose for the quiz.
I got through 43 of these before it clogged up my browser. I had three wrong going in that far. I’d be surprised if 11% of people can identify all those movies with one screen shot. The vast majority are gimmies, but there’s a number of movies on there that I’ve never seen or even heard of and wasn’t able to eliminate successfully. (Plus I somehow fucking got the “Heathers” one wrong and I’ve seen that movie several times. I got several right on movies I hadn’t seen!)
2 wrong and one of those was a misclick.
1 wrong, I had literally never heard of it (Better Off Dead), and at least in the 80s I was a huge movie buff.

I got to about 30 and I got to the point where I couldn’t see the pic because of all the ads bogging down IE. Chrome wouldn’t work for me either but I got all of them right up until then.
Same. The only one I even had to think about was Better Off Dead, which I’ve never seen, but knew John Cusack was in it, and recognized him.
I got The Road Warrior without even seeing about 2/3 of the screencap (the page was loading slow, so I had another window open atop it).
How do you get it to advance? I can only answer the first question and then nothing happens.
And that’s a good thing. If the progress continues, we’ll get it up to 100%, and we’ll be able to forget they ever happened.
50/50, honestly there was 2 or 3 I just guessed but I could at least make an educated guess from the actors shown. It is too easy because these mostly don’t seem to be randomly chosen stills from the film, but promotional shots and pictures that were used on posters and such. The only one I truly had no clue was Heathers, which I had never seen and only heard the name before, but I accidentally clicked on the right answer.
I had to open it in Chrome.

I got 48/50. The two I missed, I’d never seen.
So the clickbait headline was corect. I could not get 50. BFD.
