I cannot for the life of me think of the name of those shirts you frequently see men wearing in various Latin American countries. I can’t find a link for an image because I don’t know what to name the shirt to look for.
I’ll describe it - it’s a long shirt that is not tucked in, is made of cotton, usually has four pockets on it (two on top and two on bottom). They also have two vertical pleats in the front. They look good paired with a classy fedora too.
Guayabera, apparently. It also has a Wiki page. I had never heard the name either, but I knew the style you were referring to; I found it by putting “four pocket shirt” into Google Images.
They are great shirts to wear in semi-casual settings. I have several short and long sleeve guayaberas in a variety of colors, some cotton, some linen.
If you are asking for purely sartorial purposes, may I also suggest investigating Indian kameez, which has a similar style. (For Dope purposes, I believe it has the same root as the French chemise e.g. blouse.)
