Hey there! Reference librarian looking for help.
I have a patron who remembers a song from his youth. It could be from the 50s or 60s with a chorus that says (more or less):
Don’t blame her cause she left
I wasn’t nothing but a hound
I even had another woman
On the other side of town
Ring any bells? A google search seems to indicate that there was no music before the 1990s, other than “nothing but a hound dog.”
Thanks!
