A post in the “do characters doing bad things in movies make the movies bad” thread made me think of a low budget beach comedy I saw as a kid in the 80s. I thought it was “Spring Break”, but it doesn’t seem to match my memories. The Plot:
Two cool college frat boys go on spring break with their stereotypical-nerd fraternity brother because his rich father has promised to install a Jacuzzi and sauna in their house if they do. While there, one of the guys competes with a guy from a rival frat to have sex with a beautiful woman they meet. Both guys fail their attempts at seduction, resort to trickery and cheating, and eventually the nerd “wins” by treating her with respect and caring about her as a person.
If my memories are correct, this may be a rare example of an 80s teen sex comedy that treats women as more that prizes to be won.
