Identify this cracker toy

So I pulled a Christmas cracker this morning. But I’m not sure what the toy is. There are six little cards, decorated as playing cards on their backs. Each card has a different coloured face: Blue, pink, orange, purple, red, black. Each has four rows of eight numbers.
[ul][li]The purple one has odd numbers from 1 to 63. [/li][li]The blue one has 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, 31, 36, 37, 38, 39, 44, 45, 46, 47, 52, 53, 54, 55, 60, 61, 62, 63. So four consecutive numbers, and then a gap of 4.[/li][li]The pink one has 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63. So eight consecutive numbers followed by a gap of 8.[/li][li]The orange one has 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 15, 18… and so on. Two consecutive numbers followed by a gap of 2.[/li][li]The red one starts at 16 for a total of 16 consecutive numbers followed by a gap of 16.[/li][li]The black one starts at 32 and continues consecutively to 63.[/ul][/li]So each starts with a number that is equal to the gap between consecutive numbers. (i.e., Purple starts with 1, there’s a gap of 1, then three, a gap of 1, etc. One assumes that the next number on the black card, if it exceeded the 32 numbers on it, would be 96.)

Is this some sort of game? Or is it a simple brainteaser? Or maybe it’s a guess-the-game brainteaser? (Or am I expecting too much out of a toy that came out of a cracker?)

You got a magic trick.

I just googled the first string of numbers with quotes.

Huh. Tried to play the game linked on the site, and couldn’t connect to the server.

I didn’t try it, just read the explanation. Here’s another that looks like the same:

So you would ask the person to think of a number between 1 and 63, and then show each of the cards in succession and ask for a yes or no answer as to whether their number is on the card. The combination of answers reveals the number they were thinking of.

Johnny L.A., do you know how to write a number in its binary expansion (i.e., in base 2)? Write any number (between 0 and 63) in that form. We’ll refer to the six bits of the number from the right, starting with the 0-th place. The number is on the purple card if it has a 1 in the 0-th place. It’s on the orange card if it has a 1 in the 1-st place. It’s on the blue card if it has a 1 in the 2-nd place. It’s on the pink card if it has a 1 in the 3-rd place. It’s on the red card if has a 1 in the 4-th place. It’s on the black card if it has a 1 in the 5-th place.

I’ll have to try that.

At least your toy appears to have all the parts (except directions) We pulled crackers today and one was “THE AMAZING LOCK” and came with directions on how to amaze your friends by removing the link from the amazing lock. Except they only included the link, not the lock.

On the other hand, my MIL got a miniature Snakes and Ladders game, playable with all pieces included.
I got a rock…
