The most popular green muppets from Sesame Street are arguably Oscar the Grouch and Kermit the Frog but Kermit isn’t fuzzy and Oscar is shaggy.
Maybe you’re thinking of one of the green frackles? There’s a green frackle called Gloat who’s light-green and fuzzy. Thig is light-green and fuzzy and has odd appendage things but not amazingly popular and wasn’t in Sesame Street.
When you say “appendages hanging off him where additional arms would be”, I’m picturing a bug or a spider. Dr. Teeth is green-skinned and has fingers but he’s a non-fuzzy humanoid with a fuzzy beard.
It’s gotta be Rosita if we’re talking about a Muppet that’s on a lot of Sesame Street merchandise. She used to have wings, as she was apparently a fruit bat. But she no longer does.
how positive are you that it’s a Sesame Street Muppet? There’s a Muppet-y looking character from another kid’s show that fits your description, but I can’t find a pic or remember the name at the moment.
I think MrSquishy and ZipperJJ got it. The character I’m talking about has a small yellow ribbon in her hair, and the weird underarm stuff, so it has to be Rosita.
I couldn’t tell what the stuff under her arms was, but I guess it is the fruit bat webbing. They were wise to get rid of it as it looks creepy as hell. It looks like four vestigial pairs of arms just hanging there.
Also, even though Rosita is blue, she is clearly light green on the books and placemats that I have. I wonder if they tweaked the color to avoid making her look too much like Cookie Monster.
