The character’s name is “Darryl”, and the actor’s name is Samuel Bliss Cooper. He’s guest starred on a few TV shows, and been in a few movies, but nothing really big.

Okay, This Is Odd. I could have sworn that the actor who plays The Wiz is the man in Still Breathing with Brendan Fraser. Smallish part, but very charming character. I cannot find a single online pic of Samuel Bliss Cooper, but this picture of Toby Huss looks just like “The Wiz” on this YouTube clip.
Anybody else see a resemblance?
