Color me pissed off. I will also not find it humorous if my sincere & sympathetic PM ends up re-posted but half-assed de-identified in some thread.
It’s jerk moves like this that cause charitable folks like me to give up on humanity in general rather than specific humans specifically. Making trust into a vice takes work; quit working on it.
Remember when you were in school, didn’t really have a group of friends, and one of the cool kids would pretend to like you, then say, “Ha! Loser!”? That was always good for some yuks.
I’m not ticked off, since I figured it was probably a prank or a Hal Briston event. It’s just a lame April Fool’s joke. I’m sure no harm was intended. Still, stupid prank.
As an aside, one of my Facebook friends has been posting some pretty good April Fools ads from Harbor Freight Tools, of all places. I especially liked the Hydraulic Nail Straightener. As far as April Fools jokes go (which is not very far), they’re pretty good.
I don’t have a problem with it at all; however I also fail to see how this could possibly qualify as a “great prank.” Seriously. What makes it so good?
I’ve been keeping a secret for awhile and I don’t really know who to tell…I saw you were online, though, and figured “What the hell?”.
I know you and I don’t talk, really…but I’ve always liked most of your posts and just wanted to get it out to someone.
It’s probably not even that big of a deal, but it will help my own conscience.
I’m not a guy, I’m actually a female.
Yeah…
Nobody else knows this, I’ve never told anyone…and it was probably very stupid to hide the fact in the first place, but years ago, when I first registered, I just felt more comfortable letting people think I was a guy.
Anyway, again, not sure why I’m telling you, but it’s weird. I feel that if at least one person knows, I don’t feel as guilty.
