I would fast forward to this weekend. Coronado Island for the weekend celebrating with my husband for our 1st Wedding Anniversary! I am so excited to get away… lay on the beach… eat amazing food… drink delicious beverages… and other such 1st anniversary awesomeness!
Woot! Congrats!
Home, taking a nap. I seriously can’t quite hold my head up this afternoon.
at work.
I know that’s sad, but when you’re unemployed and out of savings… And this is sick, but I enjoy working. Most of the time.
On a motorcycle in western Colorado or southern Utah.
…anywhere but here. The beach sounds nice.
Waikiki would be wonderful!
Owen Park Beach.
Hopefully in a month!
Mono Hot Springs in the Sierra National Forest.
Somewhere cool
New York City - and I will be, in two weeks!
Someplace air conditioned. Grocery store, library, mall, lobby of the old folks home, I don’t care. I’m too enervated by the heat to get in the car and go there.
Other than that, I would love to take a trip to Alexandria Bay, upstate NY, on the St. Lawrence River just a couple of miles from Canada. Great little resort town, deep blue cold river, watching mile-long freighters plowing through the channel, fine dining and beer, beer, and more beer, and of course sitting on the big front porch of my aunt’s old wooden gingerbread Queen Anne “camp”, watering the petunias…
Anywhere anywhere, money no object? Well then on a round-the-world trip, paid for by magical pixies!
Realistically speaking, right here is pretty good. I just took the kids on a quick trip and we had a super-great time, and now I’m very happy that I’m no longer driving on I-5 and my husband will soon be home, and tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday.
In Seattle. That would be my dream vacation.
the PG rated answer is: at my aunt’s house in Italy just sitting in the garden and listening to the nature sounds.
Valhalla.
In my favorite restaurant, alone, no kids, no wife, with a newspaper and being served multiple tasting portions of iterations of foie gras, sweetbreads, veal, venison, carpaccio, sushi, duck breast, scallops, smoked fish, lobster…accompanied by small pours of wine paired with the food by the chef.
Back in my sweet baby’s arms. (Not my ex Darling Marcie)
Disney World. Always, Disney World. I’m grooming my children to be Imagineers when they grow up, so we can spend our winters in Florida and get screamin’ deals on Season passes.
