This is one of those times I’m grateful that my wife works on what used to be an avacado and lemon farm. Still hundreds of the trees merrily producing fruit, almost all going unpicked. I take home as much as I can carry.
Limes gonna be a problem though. I have a lime tree, but it’s young. I think I got 10 or 15 limes off it last year, but there’s still a long way to go.
The Texans, including very possibly trump voters, are freaking out about a trade war with mexico because of the interdependence of Texas and Mexico’s economies. Did anyone ever consider the Texas economy before they voted for this fool, even inside fucking Texas?

I am a Trump voter and if one of the consequences from removing vast numbers of illegal criminal aliens or imposing a toll on certain items from Mexico is that the price of Avocados will increase, then I am 100% ok with that. I think that I can live with that.
I am also ok with price increases for certain other items and services that might have benefited from illegal alien slave labor.
If a business can not function without illegal alien slave labor, then the business does not have any right to exist and it should rightfully go out of business. The market will naturally sort itself out. Not all businesses have the right to life.
That’s just plain common sense, simple economics and basic human dignity, traits which most liberals lack.

I personally despise avocados so the outlook of a decreased supply bothers me not at all.
This won’t prevent me from collecting my avocado ration and selling it to the highest bidder.
