If Superman was prepared...

[QUOTE=Lochdale]
If you want to go into the MU, and stick to the conventional, non-Galactus superhero types then the easy winner is the Silver Surfer. Whatever about a Thor/Superman fight, the Surfer would beat Superman in a brutally one-sided curbstomp. Now if Superman were prepared and used his super-intellect (does he still have that?) then who knows.

He has the super-intellect again. HE didn’t have after the Byrne reboot, but each time he’s lost his powers and regained them since then–three times that I recall–he’s come back more powerful. After this last de- and re-powering, he got the super-duper brain again.

In MU, Thor, or Silver Surfer wins hands down. Of course in MU you could just dust off the ol’ Molecule Man and there ya go.

Maybe not. Superman could just use his speed and blitz molecule man to death. The Surfer though is many times faster than Superman so it’s not really a fight. The only reason Thor can hang with the Surfer is because he has a magical plot-device hammer other than that he’d be toast as well.

I would give Marvel’s Thor an edge agains Supes. I’m pretty sure he’s perfectly capable of hammering Superman’s magic vulnerability (pun intended.

Didn’t Clark beat Thor in the JLA/Avengers crossover?

Wouldn’t it depend on how he was prepared? Deep-fried, sauteed, roasted?

There’s no way he could be prepared for any of the Marvel guys. Not that most of them would pose a threat, but still…
