Now that HCR, and apparently the death panels, have to come pass, I thought I’d revive this thread.
If the death panels did come into being, what sort of uniform, logo, etc. would you design for them?
I’m not sure which of these is eviler.
The uniforms described in Kurt Vonnegut’s “Welcome to the Monkey House.”
Nah. A plain dark blue suit for the management. Blue suit, red tie. It works for television.
For the guys in the field? Allow me to quote from ‘V for Vendetta’.
Robert: HOMES? They’re GAS chambers!
Creedy: Not gas. If you want to know the truth, Robert, there’s just three good south Ken boys with iron bars.
Badges with the motto: “YES, WE CAN! And don’t think we won’t!”
The organization would be officially known as “Death Support Systems”, or
“Society’s New Universal Fatalities Force”, or S.N.U.F.F.
The chair of the panel should dress exactly likethis guy.
The moustache is mandatory.
I like the skull and crossbones on his hat. It’s a nice touch.
I’d call it the Department of Death, or DoD for short. I think that acronym may already be taken though.
Surely Jackboots would be de rigueur.
The people responsible for the Venture Brothers have already taken care of this.
For the logo, I’m thinking something like this.
I want the death panel’s uniforms to be as described below–covering the bodies of buxom young females. Kind of like the hostesses at the Ethical Suicide Parlors in Kurt Vonnegut’s story Welcome To The Monkey House:
Apparently this guy agrees.
Shit! If this gets out the wing-nuts might actually stop banning Vonnegut books and start having them condensed and read to them!
I think this one’s a good one. I was trying for literal meaning of Death Panel in google image search, but the logo would work well.
It’d work better if you put a hammer and sickle and/or a swastika in it.
