If the Statue of Liberty...

… were reduced to the size of a normal human woman, what would its (her) three sizes be?

(It’s strange, the questions that can come to you when you’re still half-asleep.)

Seach the web for the measurements and divide for your ideal height.

Searching for “statue of liberty bust measurement” doesn’t help much

You too, huh?

The heavily draped garments she’s represented in are going to make it impossible to measure with any kind of precision.

Then again, if you could settle the arguments about what woman, if any, Bartholdi used as a model for the statue, maybe you can find some record of her measurements. Doubtful, though.

He modeled her arm after his wife’s, and her face after his mother’s, I believe. But as for her body, I don’t know if he used an actual woman as a model.

Considering all the banging, and the copper sheets, he may have gone through several models. Gaw bless 'im anyway.

And his glands, too.

Lady Liberty’s measurements .

36-24-36 baby!

Woohoo!

oh what a winning hand…

I did a quick search but didn’t notice that there were no bust, waist and hips measurements.
Here’s why.

…and they’re spectacular.

You couldn’t get an accurate measurement until she puts her arm down.

Hey, AcidKid,

You’ll find her waist measurement there.

All I can see is waist thickness, not circumference, nor the 36-24-36 others wrote of.

FWIW, XTC cast a prurient eye on Lady Liberty in a rather naughty song from 1977.

I’ll be damned.

I really must have been half-asleep. I’d completely forgotten I’d posted this question. (Wonder how often that happens?)

Quite a Lady, she is.

According to either Howard Stern’s or Grant Tinker’s book (I forget which) Tinker, who was president of NBC at the time, was in NYC with some RCA bigshots and he mentioned, “I think we own a radio station here.” He then tuned in to Howard’s show on WNBC and heard them discussing "how big of a tampon the Statue of Liberty would need…"

Supposedly when they arrived at 30 Rock, he had Stern fired.
