There’s been much speculation over what would happen with the GOP and his MAGAts should he die, but what if instead he had a disabling stroke, say in the middle of a rant to his devotees?
Conspiracists could easily gin up a tale of his murder by the evil leftist Deep State, no matter how he died, but could they so easily twist a cerebrovascular accident? Especially if it happened before a crowd of his acolytes, caught on camera?
Assuming he survived but was left with the slumped face, one-sided debility, and other malign sequelae of a CVA, would that puncture the illusion of invincible, powerful virility his most besotted followers endow him with?
Assuming he was seen as substantially weakened, would the pols now in thrall to him feel emboldened to start internecine warfare for control of the GOP? Or would they still fear his vengeance should he recover enough to try to regain his deathgrip on the party?
If Trump suffered a stroke, that would kick major ass!
If he shit his bigly diaper at the same time, that would add a wang dang sweet humiliation to his ordeal.

Eh, Trump cultists can spin anything to fit the “it’s the Deep State’s fault” narrative. Just look at the neighboring thread where they call the January 6 insurrection a “normal tourist visit”, and some other threads floating around (can’t remember their titles off the top of my head) where they claim the Capitol rioters are Antifa and BLM.
If I was a betting man, I’d say the MAGAts will blame Jewish space lasers for causing his stroke.
I think this hypothetical power struggle will just be a contest of puffing their chests and trying to convince the rubes who among them is the Trumpiest. IMO the only scenario where reprisals will happen is if the moderate faction tried to regain control of the party, and we all know they are pretty much dead, gone, nada at this point.
How about we stop mocking people with a disability and find some other way to lambast Trump? All of us are seconds away from a cerebral vascular accident, a little dignity and empathy would be nice.
Strokes do not necessarily impair your intellect, only your ability to effortlessly communicate your intelligence.
Realistically, Trump would just deny he had a stroke. And would deny he was in any way disabled or less than in perfect physical and mental condition. He would do this even if he was paralyzed and sitting in a wheelchair and couldn’t speak in an intelligible fashion. And his faithful would believe him.
Well, you can’t have it one way, encourage free and spirited debate, and then hide behind convenient “Oh My” -isms. I’ll refer you politely to the the thread title and the thread question. If you are not interested in participating, please be reminded that no one forced you to. If you want to sit back and cluck your tongue in judgement of everyone/anyone who does participate, well that almost seems like Shread Thitting (but maybe I’m wrong).
As for the day Donald J Trump has ever deserved even two seconds of “dignity and empathy”… suffice it to say that that day has never dawned upon this earth.

I had that for a day or so after my stroke. Freaking scary and frustrating when you’re trying to talk and are totally aware that what you are saying is total gibberish and nonsense. Thank God it went away quickly on it’s own (except me for staying awake all night and practicing saying names and places and stuff.
