Isn’t there another similar arm of these religions parcticed in Brazil? I know I read about it recently, but I can’t recall the specific name at the moment.

Perhaps you are referring to Umbanda? This is a syncretic religion mixing aspects of Catholicism, West African religions, and native Brazilian religions. It’s very mystical, with numerous gods and saints, spirit possession, etc., etc.

Truce? Offense? Flames? I wasn’t aware there was one, unless you’re talking about our back-and-forth in The Pit, which I don’t take too seriously. No offense taken, no apology necessary.

And folks, there are quite a few pagans/wiccans IN the SCA, but the SCA is studiously non-religous.

Yup, even to the point of officially denying clerical references in persona creation (although there were quite a few people grandfathered in).
