If you could ask Trump any question

I didn’t watch the town hall thing. But, when reading things he said it included something about him not getting a fair trial in a “Trump-hating area”.
I would have asked him he didn’t rape a woman in the South where he would get a fair trial.

“What’s it like meeting Obama?”

Oh that’s just fucking perfect.

That’s what I was going to say.

Maybe.
“So Mr Trump, do you think Dominion voting machines were hacked?”

In hopes of getting him sued by Dominion.

I’d also be curious to see how he tries to explain how his idea of reimposing Tariffs on China would help to fight inflation.

Reimpose? They were never lifted. It’s still 25%.

I’d ask him some form of a “Do you still beat your wife?” question, something where the question itself offers little room to answer as posed without mucking it up. For example:

Mr. Trump, you apparently did not have the power or wherewithal, with the entire armed forces and DOJ under your control, to change the course of the rigged election. You were bested and came out the loser. Why should the American people elect someone so deficient, weak, and ill-prepared, when you came up so small when America most needed you to protect its democracy?

It has the benefit of stipulating to his election fantasy, thereby forcing him to deal with the logical follow-up to his fantasy.

“So you want to be President again? By many objective measures, you did a horrible job in that role, especially your administration’s response to the pandemic. Thanks to your rhetoric, the country is sharply divided. Why do you think you deserve another shot at the nation’s top office? How will you bring the country together, and be a President for ALL Americans?”

  2. Phone number of Russian handler
  3. Email address of Russian handler

Which is why he didn’t testify in the Carroll case. None of those options are available when you’re on the witness stand. The judge will require you to answer the questions as posed.

Even doing the deposition, with no judge present, was enough to put a major hole in his defence.

ETA - well, lying is an option, of course. But the whoppers he tells are so self-defeating…

Good one.

Hostile audience questions would only help him in his victim-playing act. If, last night, CNN, had allowed Democrats into the audience, and he had faced some of the other questions posed in this thread, Obama-Trump voters would have been repelled. I know – not fair. Some of Trump’s own acts are so much worse than rude questions. But life here IS unfair.

The idea that there is some ideal humiliating question that would hurt him is mistaken. The best you can do in a Trump-any-question venue is to avoid setting him up to get a few more sympathy votes.

“A friend said you’re not man enough to do 15 push-ups, straight as a board, elbows in, only your shnozz touching the ground. Do you have the guts to prove him wrong, right here and now?”

“Can you please give everyone here a detailed lowdown on your nighttime toiletry regime?”

“When Melania occasionally slaps your hand away in public for everyone to see, how embarrassed do you feel?”

“Whenever you cheat at golf, do your partners roll their eyes as if to say ‘not again’?”

“When Kellyanne Conway blew you just after your inauguration, was it Jim Jordan or Matt Gaetz who spread that it happened?”

Yep, that’s the winner.

“Why did it take you three hours to get on television and call off the mob on January 6?”

Here are some ideas from a pro:

Do I think this kind of question would stop him from winning the election? Nope.

“What do you think about wives who are unfaithful to their husbands?”

I’d use my question to hurt his reputation with his base.

“Why did you betray all the people who tried to take back the vote on January 6 by not issuing any of them presidential pardons before you left office?”

All six of them?

“More nasty questions from the nasty lady!”…and that’s if he just didn’t talk right over those questions.

“Im curious about that meeting in Helsinki. Was Vladimir Putin bribing you, or extorting you?”
