This is a dumb question, but I am trying to set my profile to private to create some illustrative screenshots for @What_Exit 's poll, and I can’t figure out how to do that. Does anyone know off the top of their head?
Oops, this is puzzlegal, using Banny’s account to see life as a non-mod. I want to set Puzzlegal’s profile to private. Maybe I can’t do that to a mod account?

Go to Preferences, Interface and check off Hide my public profile and presence features
If you’re already on the Profile page, refresh to see changes.

Aha, thanks much. I did think it was weird to not even have a location field.
I see my location field is blank. Did any of the user data get migrated over from vBulletin? I had a location set in vBulletin and clearly I had no idea how to change that here in discourse, so my blank location is just how it has been since the changeover.
Nothing like payment info and addresses came over.
Email Address did, but only Mods can see that no matter what the setting is.
A lot of the stuff self-loaded in vB profiles did not actually migrate, but 4 years later I cannot remember what anymore.
According to this thread, location was definitely not migrated from vBulletin.
I noticed that too! I just put that in the name space in the last week or two. So odd that my optional name roseannaroseannadanna would show up in quote instead of chela. I did a search of it and it’s in many places.
Testing a quote to see is it shows name instead of profile.
Does not appear to.
This is still being discussed in the modloop. No poll, as we’ve determined at very least a few things need fixing, like the filter.
