It’s Saturday and I fell for the red herring. When I saw another category didn’t fall inside it, I confidently went ahead. Darn it.

Friday kicked my butt. Yellow and green both had five words that fit the categories, which makes it very difficult to get anything unless you can get everything at once.

Got yellow pretty quickly and set it aside. Saw “clownfish” and immediately went to ”Nemo”, then filled out for movie (not Pixar) characters. Submitted hoping it was purple but it was blue. Picked up on purple after concentrating on two-word clues and knowing that sea breeze was a cocktail. Process of elimination left greyhound as the fourth cocktail.. Finished with the yellow clues I had set aside.
Friday’s was the hardest time I’ve had in a long time.

I may have made more mistakes in a puzzle recently, but this one I just sit and stared at for about a half hour instead of the usually sloppy one to five minutes I have the patience for. Bravo for the challenge. And I got psyched out by RACECAR thinking it was a SIDECAR. The last member of that category was something I had never heard of. Oh, look like I can be open by now: never heard of a sea breeze and I was a boozer.

Neither the easiest nor hardest I’ve seen.
I am a lush, so green jumped right out first. The others took a bit of noodling, but I managed to wrestle them all into place. A fun mental workout today.

Saw the red herring, but what turned out to be purple negated that so not a problem.
Had to use Google to define some words but past that this was pretty easy.

There is no way blue is more difficult than green. In fact, blue was the most popular first gotten category. 47% of players got it first.

I counting it as not getting purple except by default.
I was on the right track with songs but hadn’t narrowed it down to ABBA. The only ones of theirs in the clues that I knew were Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen.
On Sunday’s, I fell for the red herring first, then I got another wrong guess because I wasn’t sure about the fourth word for blue. Purple was pure leftovers for me, even though my school did Mama Mia, the musical, recently, so I really should have known that one.

Purple was leftovers. Had no idea, even when I knew what they were. Fortunately when a category is leftovers it is almost always purple so gets played first.
I failed Monday’s. Too many possibles, and mostly things I am not very familiar with.
