This one took a lot of staring, but they fell into place one by one.

I didn’t play yesterday, and seeing that several of you had some trouble with it, I tried to find a copy of the unspoiled starting grid to see if I could figure it out… but I messed up and went straight to the answers. Nothing about it looked too obscure, though, so I like to think I would’ve nailed it — but it’s easy when you can see the solution. :grin:

Green wasn’t so bad, since valet couldn’t be much of anything else.

I did get caught by a (possibly unintended) red herring of _____ sale. And it took me a bit to get the units category, whichever one that was, because I had to eliminate meter first to see which four of the five counted.

A mess, but I survived.

Too many lights and too many units of measurement. And when I tried to separate out the words that were neither, I managed to screw that up as well.

Yet I somehow landed the last three categories with no misses left. Whew!

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one who really crashed out on Friday’s game. Makes me feel less of a fool! Clearly it was a tough one for a lot of people.

However today is Saturday, and I struggled with this a bit too, but took a plunge and got it in the end. I never figured out Purple.
