@GuanoLad Was that children’s authors? Because that’s what got me at first.
Yes it was. I’m not sure what their point was, it seemed an unnecessary distraction.

Avoided green until last because I thought it was a red herring.
Me too

Same, but when i got down to 8 i believed it.
Thought I had a reverse rainbow, but for the umpteenth time I was wrong.

Fell for a red herring, tried a very weak set of leftovers for purple and failed. Stuck with the red herring too long then switched to survival mode. Yuck. But at least I learned the difference between grizzly and grisly - I though they were alternate spellings of the same word.
Just terrible at the order lately.

Yep, I fell for it too. But it least it led me to a purple-first.
Friday, and I thought this was going to be straightforward, but then tripped up which threw me for a moment.

I, too, fell for Thursday’s red herring, and chased it all the way to a loss. It’s rough having a red herring that matches three of the four purples.

Almost perfect reverse rainbow
put patch in with sticky things
but had trouble with yellow even when it was leftovers.
Saturday’s puzzle was at first quite intimidating, but I had the time to work my way through it. Good luck to anyone trying for a reverse rainbow.

Didn’t get purple but I was pretty sure I knew the type of answer, just couldn’t find the exact one.
No shift key on the phone keyboard. I kept going through the keys trying to get the answer.

No issues. I mean, BLUE were too easy, wasn’t it?
Never would have gotten purple without it being leftovers. Let’s all pretend im swapping yellow and green on purpose at this point.

I did not find yellow to be especially easy.
Yeah. I happened to see green first, but blue was easier.
