I am curious if the Purple that was tripping people up was The Pitcher Plant. I knew about this because it is one of the few plants that eat animals.
Not me. I’ve never heard of Robert plant. I googled that one after clicking on purple.

Weirdly, the very first thing that popped into my head when I saw ROBERT was PLANT. I quickly found three more.
I held off on green until last because of the famous equation F=ma, and there was an extra thing there. Otherwise, not much trouble.
Sunday’s game, and I walked right into the red herring like they knew I was coming.

Oh wow, this one was not for me.
I googled “mashed potato dance”, because there were two dance moves I’d heard of. When that turned out to be a thing i googled the next most plausible dance move (robot). But then i was totally stuck. I was looking for blue to have some semantic content. Not a spelling quirk. Oh well.
The Sunday red herring was the first thing I saw, but I could only find three of them, so I moved on and avoided it. And then I saw blue, which used one of the words I was thinking.
Purples, as so often, was just leftovers.

I did something a little different that many of you do every day. Since I saw two of the categories almost simultaneously, I decided to solve the whole puzzle before submitting anything.
I could not figure out the last category for the life of me, but being very confident of the other three, I took a frightening leap of faith. It worked!!
…Then I failed spectacularly at the RR.
This is what we’ve been calling ‘scary’ leftovers.
It’s Tuesday in my house. Somehow Yellow was the hardest one, I didn’t figure it out at all.
