I struggled with this one, and should have tried harder for purple. I might have gotten purple today, and i got blue by chance, trying for other connections.
But today’s felt fair.

I don’t know what exactly I was thinking.
I was looking for poker terms and things you collect.
Didn’t get blue.
Made it but it was a close one. I was down several wrong tracks. I also felt really dumb not seeing the Purple.

Green jumped out at me so quickly I assumed it was yellow. Grrrr…
Wednesday, I did better today, in Rainbow order. I sidestepped a red herring, but didn’t figure out Purple.

Despite some troubles, i got all four connections. I actually saw purple first, but only saw 3 of them, and decided to try something else. But after that, i held the three purples i was comfortable with aside when looking at the other words.

I saw purple right away, but I wasn’t sure about JOKE; I’ve always heard the term “running joke.” But it seemed the closest fit so I went for it.
Things went quickly after that, though I misjudged green and blue, missing the RR.
That tripped me up also but I took the same guess you did.
Thursday. I got Green first, but then thought it was a red herring, and so chose a better option, that turned out to be the actual red herring. Also I never figured out Blue.
