If You Like "Wordle", Try "Connections"

Heh. I got Blue first because I like what your friends love.

Didn’t have a clue on Purple until I solved it by default, then it was a Duh moment.

I’m not sure I would ever have guessed the Purple category. But the other three went pretty quickly.

I love Martinis too, but I have never in all my days heard of a Perfect Martini. Leaned something today, I guess.

This one was driving me crazy, but I got blue, yellow, green, purple with two one aways.

I only got it because that one’s been used before (and I didn’t get it the last time).

My only mistake was trying robot in the yellow category. I didn’t find this one unusual, but apparently it threw a lot of people off.

I do find myself anticipating/ wondering how much I’ll roll my eyes at purple.

I almost cleared purple first today, until I realized there were actually five rats. I backed off that one until MOLE fell into a different category.

I had the same problem. And the same approach.

I may have set a personal best record time today. I think I completed the puzzle in less than 30 seconds. I solved Green first, followed by Yellow and Blue.

Once again, Purple was my default, and I certainly did not see the connection. I have to admit that I’m not terribly familiar with Peroni beer.

Hasn’t today’s blue category been used before? I got that one right off the bat and felt a little deja vu.

@Railer13 I had the same problem with purple.

It’s from a country not famous for beer. Purple was tough today, the other three were easy.

To save others the trouble of Googling, in order to solve the purple category today (January 17, 2025), it helped to recognize Peroni as a brewery (an Italian one).

I had never heard of it

Glad to know I’m not alone!

Huh. Around here if you go to an American or Italian-American restaurant, it’s probably the most common if not only Italian beer available. It’s like how Asahi or Sopporo is to Japanese restaurants, or Tsingtao is to Chinese, etc. However, if you’re not a big beer drinker, you may not notice this.)

I’ve never been a drinker so I wouldn’t notice. Mostly it’s all about IPAs around here. I’ll look the next time I get Italian food

I do know of Peroni Beer, yet after solving the other three categories, I stared at those four words for a looong time trying to see a connection. I gave up.

Conversely, today’s I think I motored through without missing a beat. Even the Purple seemed easy.

Mine took a bit of thinking after yellow, but I reverse rainbowed it after that: yellow, purple, blue, green.

Yellow, blue, purple, green, no mistakes. We called blackberry vines “stickery bushes” growing up (still do), but don’t associate “sticker” with poky bits outside that specific context.
