I got yellow and green pretty quickly and knew the blue category but was not familiar enough with the particulars. I guessed and got one away, changed one and was still one away then changed that one again and was now at least two away so I knew that those two were answers which helped me guess the last one. The purple answer was the type of connection I seem to have the most trouble with. I never seem to get them.
Perfect rainbow again today.
I resisted LIFE, LIBERTY, PURSUIT, and HAPPINESS, thinking it was a red herring. But after getting yellow, I was stuck so I went for it. With those out of the way, I was able to figure out blue. Purple was by default; I never did guess it.
I failed today. Got green then yellow then kept getting one away for blue. If I had patience and were to figure it out, it would have had to have been via purple, because while I was on the right track for blue, I didn’t know two of the answers and was only able to guess one of the remaining two.
Wow, I failed badly on the June 23rd game. I didn’t get the jeans, I didn’t get the drinks glasses (I should’ve even though I’m not into drinking) and certainly didn’t get the Hemingway titles. So far out of my wheelhouse I was on another boat.
It’s funny how different people pick up on different things. I just got the puzzle. Yellow, purple, blue and green. I pretty much knew the categories immediately but needed to make sure they all fit.
For example, I was looking at drinks rather than glasses and whether it was any word in a Hemingway title. I also saw the boyfriend red herring but couldn’t find four answers
I got Yellow in 2 tries (Bell was my red herring there,) then green, purple, blue.
Today I got Purple first and Yellow last. Don’t think I ever would have gotten Yellow. Otherwise, I thought the other three were rather straightforward.
Exactly.
Yeah I failed. I kept thinking Bell was with the Jeans. Never have heard of Boyfriend Jeans. I was also convinced one category was types of guns. I should have seen the Purple in hindsight.
I refuse to pay to watch my own TV that I already paid for with my own money that I EARNED by the sweat of my brow, so shows on HBO are NOT a valid category.
I have spoken.
#Yesterday’s_purple_category_can_go_fuck_itself
That was the blue category for the HBO one.
Today I got blue first. Surprised that wasn’t purple. Then green. Surprised that wasn’t blue. Then purple, surprised that wasn’t green or blue. Then yellow, which felt more like a green.
Same.

Today (6/24) was a quick solve for me. In order, BYGP, and even solved the Purple category before I submitted the picks. Total time was probably less than 30 seconds.
I fell for a red herring then got Purple, Green , Blue, Yellow
GBPY. Quick today.
YBGP today.
Completely fell for the trap that was
berries. Also didn’t get purple. I knew it had to be add a letter but I couldn’t see it.

Yellow, I think, would be hard for people not from the USA (my daughter, for instance, couldn’t get today) for one of the 4 - hanging out in certain Dope threads gave me the edge there, though.
So proud of myself for resisting the obvious red herring until I had a proper look around. I got all four with no errors, and guessed the right categories. I’ve never heard of jack cheese, though.
I am from the UK and did not find it particularly hard. Fell for the red herring group first but after that was out the way I found it quite straight forward. I think I know which one you think would be hard non Americans as it was a little obscure but the other 3 are well known and the obscure one is the only other likely to fit.
Far better than the HBO group a few days ago where I had not heard of any of the answers
Same here. Got fooled by CRAN.
I got through but made three mistakes. The berry red herring. Also I knew that tools was an answer but could not find the fourth. I ended up taking a wild guess on the purple without having any idea what it was leaving behind the fourth tool. I have never heard of a rasp as a tool.
