I do both. Along with the mini-crossword, letter boxed, and spelling bee.
I’ve been enjoying connections very much. Yesterday’s with the clues being 3 letters or less was challenging! But fun, solved it with two mistakes remaining. Can get tricky and if it names teams I’m sol! I do Wordle first thing in the am, connections later at cocktail hour. Then the mini, and letter box. Spelling bee too but never find them all.
I do pretty much all of them, although as I don’t have a subscription I aim to find at least one pangram in the Spelling Bee before it kicks me out, and to finish Letter Boxed in three words every time.
I miss the numbers one they used to have.
A lofty goal, indeed!
I attempt to solve Letter Boxed in the allowed number of words, or less. I don’t think I’ve yet missed that goal.
I usually manage it, and the other day I managed it in two. Today’s is proving a challenge, however, with both a Q and X and no E.
Ha! That said, I did it in two. Go me!

Today’s Connections is absolutely evil. Almost failed it.
I’ve been doing Connections daily for a few weeks. I’ve noticed that there will be several words that seem they could go in different groups, but then there will be four that only seem to go in one. If I start with those four, I can usually finish the whole thing.
And now I’m doing Spelling Bee as well. What I noticed there is that words repeat from one day to the next, though the letters aren’t necessarily the same. And some words are classics from crossword puzzles, like oleo, olio and epee.
Huh. I got it without a miss, rather quickly.
Of course, I failed on two earlier in the week!
I overthought and figured that each “peak” would go in a separate category.
And who would figure homophones would be a category twice in one week!
I over thought that the same way.

I’m sure the answer is obvious but it’s just not clicking for me.

Ah, OK thanks. Believe it or not, I’ve never seen it! So I guess it wasn’t so obvious after all.
I didn’t know either, so thanks! Obviously, that was the last category that I ‘solved’.
Thirded. Got the category, got the one in question, but no idea what the reference was to. We should start a club.
Either that, or Captain Marvel. I struggled with that one too.

Most of the Connections are easy - I find it helps to immediately shuffle the words because they are often initially set out in a way designed to highlight the red herrings. Every now and then I get caught out, though.
