Coincidentally we (wife, young adult kid and wife) were discussing both purple and yellow last night after dinner. And green earlier in the week.

Straight rainbow without too much trouble. Just challenging enough to make it a fun brain workout.

Got stuck for a bit after the easy first two. I was distracted - my kid’s jumping at a trampoline place.
It’s Monday again. This one was pretty easy, though I think Blue includes a couple that must be regional.

Easy enough. @GuanoLad I can only think of one of them as being regional.

I had one alternative answer for blue but after that it was pretty straightforward.

Blue seemed a bit too obvious, so I held off on it. After green and yellow, I put it away for a couple hours, and when I came back purple jumped right out at me.
It’s Tuesday. I almost got a reverse rainbow. An imposing one at first, but actually turned out pretty simple.

I didn’t do so well. I found the first two easy
But to me supermarkets don’t have lanes, they have aisles. Also I thought blue was too obvious except I had no idea about a bowling green in NYC.

I found this quite difficult. I had to pray and guess with one category. I only know of BOWLING GREEN as a university, city in Ohio or Kentucky, a song, or a green where one bowls. I guessed that it was likely also a place in NYC. I also wasn’t sure if CITY HALL was strong enough to make it a NYC category as most cities have a city hall. Also the green did not come obviously to me.
Not those. Checkout lanes, not shopping aisles.

I recognized purple early, but couldn’t really narrow it down until I got some terms out of the way.

I thought I was reading an alternate verse to We Didn’t Start the Fire when I opened the puzzle. ![]()
My mistake was putting BROOKLYN BRIDGE into the things with lanes category.
But my real problem with this one is that FINGERS, COMMANDMENTS, and BOWLING PINS are all individual things that come in sets of ten, while DECADE is a collective term for ten of something. The last one doesn’t fit semantically, and I really fought against that category until the very end.
It’s Wednesday already. I did okay, but I failed to figure out Purple’s category. Came up with a couple of options that only fit three, then gave up.
