Today’s puzzle was pure bollocks.

Not only was it pretty difficult, with blue being kinda bullshit, but there was a pretty blatant red herring Grand ___ Slam, Jury, Canyon, Rapids that no one’s mentioned yet. Fortunately for me I only saw it after I’d already found yellow.

Managed to land this one with no mistakes, but it took me half the day, and I cheated a little.

Got green pretty quickly, which fortunately saved me from the red herring. Then I stared at the other 12 boxes for a few minutes at a time over the next several hours, getting nowhere. I was stuck on BOOBY TRAP for a long time until I finally thought of PRIZE.

Then, I was stumped again. I caved and looked up CATARACT to see if there was a definition I didn’t know, and sure enough there was.

Blue was bullshit; I never would have gotten there.

Thursday’s puzzle was kind of tricky, but I managed it. I missed the red herring until catching sight of it halfway through the solve.
