Do we have to point out the obvious? Panda says he buys a lot of ammo after Obama wins an election and that he’s been in a precarious financial state these last four years.
That’s because they didn’t save the brass and reload…
Mr. Romney said that on Jan 20, he would leave the inauguration, walk into the WH, sit down at the desk in the Oval Office, and immediately issue an executive order granting a waiver to any state that wants one.
Are you saying he can’t do that?
Are you saying he can’t issue an EO instructing the IRS to NOT enforce the individual mandate?
(well, it’s true; he CAN’T, because he’s not going to be President, but still…)
Panda also says there’s a MrPanda and a PandaKid.
Leading me to suspect that he’s a she.
Seriously? You’re going to buy more ammo and guns AND complain that you cannot afford health insurance and the mortgage?
I’m just gonna go out on a limb and assume this is sarcasim? :dubious:
If not, then wow…
I’m hightailing it straight to Canada!
This is because I have a trip planned to Canada this week. I hadn’t thought about it looking treasonous when I planned it, I swear!
"A man who has blown all his options can’t afford the luxury of changing his ways. He has to capitalize on whatever he has left, and he can’t afford to admit — no matter how often he’s reminded of it — that every day of his life takes him farther and farther down a blind alley… " – Hunter S. Thompson.
I would move if any other country would have me. Probably do that even if we won. I’m old, and tired of living behind enemy lines. But I don’t have much in the way of options.
I’ll quit the Straight Dope for a few months. Actually, my MMO sub is running out in November too. Won’t have a whole hell of a lot to do (though I am starting volunteering soon and my maintenance grant came in, so I can finally buy some textbooks).
I will feel sorry for the young people, and the people who will lose a lot of their freedoms. It won’t affect me much I am passed the age where it will involve me to a certain extent, but will feel sorry for my grandchildren and great grandchildren’s generation, mainly because of Ryan being vice president, and would get the deciding vote on a lot of social issues ,should they come up!
Why do you think Romney chose Ryan to be his running mate? He does get the deciding vote if there is a tie, so the social issues will be set back many years, personal freedoms will be toast!
Wait, I DO want one for my state! I think we should have had one from the start anyway. We, the good people of the Commonwealth, already all have healthcare. Thanks Mitt Romney!
This. It’s not my first election. I’ve won some and lost some. Winning is great. Losing sucks. You move on with life..
You’d be surprised at what I don’t know. Damn surprised.
I was under the impression since the SCOTUS decision, the law could possibly be dealt with via reconciliation, because Roberts said it was a tax. But the chances of the GOP winning 50-51 senate seats is extremely low.
Yes. If I’m on the losing side of everything, something has gone freakishly wrong. President and governor are both in the area where they could go either way. Senator is a little more suspect, but still possible. But my congressman had 83% of the vote in 2010 and he’s just as popular now. If, by some means, he loses, I call fraud.
But if only the tossups & highly likelies lose, then I’ll just bitch a lot. And drink. And bitch. And be very disappointed in my fellow Washingtonians. And bitch.
I’m a 54 year old liberal who lives in one of the most conservative counties in a fairly conservative state. The chances of over 1/4 of the candidates I voted for winning are too small to mention. And I’m going to find most of them too conservative for me anyway.
But I’m used to losing. I’m also a Cub fan.
We probably won’t survive four more years of Obama.
See you in 2016, loser.
I’m hearing the M.A.S.H. theme song for some reason.
Come back in 4 years and tell us how we won’t survive the next Democratic president either
