Any thoughts?
If only.
I’m just so very grateful.
I think that this is IMHO material, (with the possibility of slipping into Elections or The BBQ Pit), but as presented it is not a great debate.
Off you go.
Also, Ms. Romney is “pretty much” over it (losing the election).
Good for you.
I agree with PRR, “if only.”
Awww, won’t someone give him a hug?
At least he didn’t use the word “literally”. But other that that, seems pretty much what I’d expect any losing candidate to say. He thought he’d do a better job than Obama. I’m not exactly shocked.
Oh, wah. Cry me a river.
Overwhelmingly rich and remarkably self-satisfied, privileged white guy who never had to struggle for anything in his life now is sad 'cause he didn’t get something he really, really wanted.
I couldn’t care less.
I’m sure John McCain and Al Gore had similar thoughts. I’m not sure that either of them was tacky enough to express them.
It’s kind of refreshingly honest, actually.
I find it puzzling, though. Personally, I’d think there has to be some sense of relief that you aren’t the poor bastard who gets blamed for everything.
I’d think that anyone even slightly worried about getting blamed for stuff wouldn’t go anywhere near the office of the president. I mean the job may as well be called ‘America’s Official Whipping-Boy’ in even the best of times.
Being an insanely ambitious masochist is practically job requirement #1.
Considering how many years and how much money he devoted to winning the Presidency I’m not surprised he’s upset about losing.
Frankly I don’t see how it would be humanly possible to go through two presidential campaign where you spend 18 hours a day for over a year trying to win the White House and not be upset about failing to win.
Apparently, Mrs. Romney feels that the voters failed to choose Mitt because the nasty old media never let them get to know him properly. I guess her opinion is that once you get to know Mitt, your first response will be to offer him a blowjob or something.
The more I get to know Ann Romney, the more I feel like she needs a Pit sticky.
Is this a euphemism for getting laid?
Good.
If that’s all it takes, send him on the tour.
It clearly doesn’t hurt him not to be in the White House. He’s just saying that because he thinks it is what he is supposed to say. He’s bored and wants some of that ol’ media love.
IMO, of course.
Oh, please. He had years to craft his own image, and yet never came acrosss as anything other than strange, privileged, or out-of-touch.
As for Mitt being sad or whatever, I hear they give daily tours of the White House to tourists.
Now that would be funny.
A presidential hopeful that didn’t quite make it taking a tour of the White House every day. Giving the staff the stink eye…complaining about the decor…giving a heavy sigh every now and then.
Or he could apply to lead the tours. “… and this is the room I would have signed bills into law…”
