Mitt Romney: "It kills me" to not be in the White House

Is Romney the first candidate to be “unemployed” both before and after the election?

I would have been very upset if McCain had won, and I still felt bad for him on a personal level when he lost. Romney, however, can suck a dick. And I’m not ready to stipulate the premise here that he actually has feelings anyway.

Bob Dole resigned from the Senate on June 11, 1996, saying his career path was “The White House or home.” Turned out to be the latter.

Dear Mitt: Mr. Obama tried to reach across the aisle in his first term. You guys were so freak’n busy making him a "one term President’ you didn’t feel like playing ball.

So please excuse President Obama for taking his fight to the people and not playing your bull shit games.

Regards,
Shakes.

His accountants must be delighted right now. One thing we know for sure: Mittens immediately filed an amended tax return the second he lost.

I’ve always thought he looks like what everyone else thinks Americans look like. Perfect hair, white teeth, tall and broad-shouldered, distinguished and horse-faced. John Kerry was the same. It’s all very artificial.

He represents the idea that the least deserving get all the privilege.

Nope. He found a job within a month of the election. (Seriously.) I don’t know how much he gets paid, but one of the other directors gets almost $200,000 in cash and stock to attend a few meetings and rubber stamp some decisions. Probably not a big deal to him, but it gets him out of the house once in a while and earns him a bit of pocket change.

Romney may have been out of touch and generally clueless but I never felt he was evil. Right or wrong in his opinions, he was trying to do some good. And while he might have been a disaster if he had been elected, he wasn’t, so he’s a harmless historical footnote. So why the hate?

Think about what that says about how he views the job of President.

He knowingly dismissed as beneath his notice and worthless almost half the country.

I’ll take this to the extreme to illustrate my point:

Back in the day, Christian slave owners thought they were doing God’s work by teaching these “savages” civility and bringing God into their lives. Should we have nothing but love for these guys too?

This is a man who was known for telling anyone anything they wanted to hear if he thought it would help them donate and vote for him.

I really have no hate for the Romneys, but regarding this:

I would be fascinated to hear exactly why that is.

The GOP has no problem spending money like drunken sailors on shore leave as long as the POTUS is also GOP.

When is “it” gonna get the job done and put those two out of their misery?

Wasn’t Mitt’s own son saying, a month or two ago, that he never really wanted to be President?

Yes, but he got that sweet endorsement deal from Viagra and he had the family pineapple fortune to fall back on.

Exactly - it’s tacky. Some things money can’t buy. Only Mitt needs his mommy to tell all the meenies why they should be nice to him and let him play.

If he was privileged from birth, how would he know any better - or rather be expected to?
If he’s self-satisfied, doesn’t that equate to being confident and happy/content?

What is ‘struggle?’ Do you really want to get existential about it?

The reality is that Mr. Romney earned a lot of his success the old fashioned way.

What’s worse is all the so called Americans who look down on such people, when they should be supporting them.

Don’t ‘troll’ the achievements of others because you’ll never get where they are.

And what does him being white have anything to do with it?

Because of Mitt’s Secret Plan to fix the economy, of course.

Exactly.

In this country, a white son of a multi-millionaire politician has the exact same opportunities as a black kid of a single mother living in poverty.

That’s why Obama is the 44th black president in a row.
