I ve only played 1,3 and 4 … and found this on e-bay and was wondering if it was legit its some sort of “instant download” thing https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sims-2-Ultimate-Collection-PC-Instant-download-/284238772722
should i take a chance or is it a scam ? I’ve seen these deals before and wondered …
It says “63 sold”. Does this mean that he sold off 63 units he bought separately, or are these copies of a single unit he acquired? If the latter, is this legal?
im wondering if there just like steam, orgin or Gog keys . and they’re just reselling them …
Under “Condition” it says “Like New: An item that looks as if it was just taken out of shrink wrap. No visible wear, and all facets of the item are flawless and intact. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.”
Is this a download, or an actual package you will have delivered to you?
@Czarcasm: the link says it would be an “instant download”, which means it’s digital.
As far as I can tell, the game is not legally available for sale digitally. While people got to get for free on Origin from 2014-2018, it doesn’t appear that the codes still work. And EA has said they have no intention of selling it in the future.
The game appears to be what people would call abandonware at this point.
…that looks like it was just taken out of shrink wrap, with no visible wear. Don’t you hate it when your downloads have nicked corners and smudges on them?
Check out the shipping info.
I’m talking about the title. Images on eBay don’t have to be the image of the actual item. The title flat out says it’s a download.
The shipping info just says it will come from Delaware and is free. That would be true of a download put up by some guy in Delaware.
…that says it will be shipped flat rate freight.
ZIP files: “Digital Download Version | Zip file of the game | Its not a DVD/Code/Key. AVAILABLE ONLY FOR WONDOWS 2000/xp/vista/7/8/10”
Safe money is that they’re selling a ZIP of the cracked files. I don’t think the game has an online play component so they don’t have to worry about validation.
A (very) quick search says that people are actually selling abandoned/stolen origin accounts on eBay - so what you’re buying is a username & password.

I haven’t played 2 in years, but it was fun.
The eBay listing says that you’re getting sent a ZIP of the files though. If it was a stolen account, they’d just give you the name/pass and let you download them yourself. I’m still guessing it’s just a ZIP of the game with the protection cracked.
hmm ok i might bite…just hope windows defender catches any cooties …
heh i became busy and forgot about it and i went to see if it was still there …nope the entire listing was gone …
We looked everywhere.
