You need to go back and read more carefully. Nowhere did I deny that I am against the Muslim religion. People are free at any time (at least once they are within the freedom of the West) to do like Sarah Haider did and leave Islam. She has the same exact ethnicity as her kin who are still Muslim. (And of course she is a woman.) I embrace her and I do not embrace them.
What I did deny, and continue to deny, is that I oppose the Squad (only two of whom are Muslim, by the way) because of the color of their skin or their ethnicity or anything like that. I’m not super keen on having a lot of practitioners of the Muslim religion in Congress, any more than I’m keen on having a lot of Baptists or Mormons in Congress. But my problem with those four goes way beyond that to the way they attack the mainstream of the Democratic Party.
That they are various degrees of laughable and/or vile, and demonstrate that there was a deep, unhinged ugliness among large swaths of the Republican base that Trump was able to activate. Much deeper than many conservative intellectuals ever understood until four years ago. What’s your point, exactly?
