"illegal drug interactions" thread should not have been closed

Gfactor, I would respectfully suggest that the thread on dangerous interactions between legal and illegal drugs should not have been closed. The FAQ on the Straight Dope Rules seems to indicate that a question about illegal/legal drug interactions would be okay. As originally posed by CK Dexter Haven:

You may discuss the effects of drugs, but not where to obtain them. Limited discussion of past use of drugs is OK, but discussion of current use is not. Please include a disclaimer that the drug is illegal in the US.

(Bolding mine). A question about drug interactions clearly seems to be a factual inquiry into the effect of a drug, not a question about how one obtains or uses an illegal substance. IANAM (I Am Not A Moderator), but it seems to be both within the letter of the rules, and something the mods should permit from a policy standpoint. I mean, if (hypothetically), taking Tylenol while using LSD makes your liver explode, and a Doper Doc knows that, don’t we want the OP to know this? Drugs may or may not be “bad”, but I think we can all agree that knowledge about especially dangerous uses of drugs is a good thing - and that’s all the OP is asking for.

This sentence from the OP put it over the line, in my opinion:

Had the OP merely asked for sources of information about drug interactions with LSD, I would not have closed it. For that matter, if someone wants to start a new thread that asks questions about those interactions, I will not close it.
