Did a few tests. Initial verdict: Pretty Cool.
What was the point of that URL? It just brings up a login page for the NY Times.

Not if you’re registered to use the site, handy.
The Option box is cool and I especially like this feature, omni-not:
I thought I had posted a reply to handy’s query, but it looks like it’s nowhere to be found. And judging from Libertarian’s post, I must have typed in the wrong URL…
Yes, I registered before at the NY Times.
“With that window available, searchers are free to move deep within a Web
site and then use the anchor to go back to the search results page without having to hit the Back
button repeatedly.”
That’s what the Netscape GO button is for.
Just wanted to know if anyone had additional comments and/or suggestions.
New Search Toolbar is now available.
Thanks
A bit gimmicky for my tastes. Nothing wrong with it, but it didn’t add a lot to my searching. The little pop-ups were useless (I’m on a 56k dial-up, so images are a nice accessory, not a default option). The ability to anchor the searches might be handy, but if the first page I see after a search doesn’t meet my needs I just tap the back button once, so it’s not a huge deal.
Still, anything that uses the Google engine has to be decent, IMHO.
Question: why is this in ATMB?
It was a toss-up between ATMB and Great Debates…
More seriously, I thought of posting the info in more than one Forum, but I’m still recuperating from cross-posting jitters;).
