I installed it today and I just love it. It’ll be most useful on my home computer, since I’m still chugging along with snail-paced dialup there. Now I won’t have to wait for the google homepage to load before I can do a search!
It does make the viewable area of the browser window smaller because it adds a whole new bar underneath anything you already have, but I solved that problem by just moving it up to share the same space as the address bar ( example here )
Anyway, I just thought I’d share, for those who may not know about this yet.
I got the toolbar a while back–I meant to post a thread about it but for some reason didn’t (probably plain ol’ forgot). I love love love it! It is the coolest thing ever.
Thanks for the reminder! I’d tried to install this a while back but it didn’t work… but I have a new computer now and had forgotten all about it! It worked! WOOHOOO!!!
Yeah, I’ve been using that toolbar for about 6 months or so. It’s really great, yet I still sometimes click the “Home” button, which is also Google.com.
Then again, I don’t use the SDMB forum jumper at the bottom of every page either. Maybe I’m just weird.
I’ve been using it for months. I wouldn’t go without it. I especially like the fact that it remembers your search terms and you can just click on them to find the term within the page.
