When the boards became subscription-based, as a gesture of good faith toward the folks who had gotten addict…I mean, the folks who had been been around for awhile already, The Reader offered a special title and a cheaper price point to those who subscribed by a certain date. Of course that meant that scrubs like me, who happened to discover the dope just before it wasn’t free anymore, enjoy the same perks (reserved parking places, ritual virgin sacrifices) as the truly old farts. A person’s joining date is the only real way to know how long they’ve been around.

I put it off, too, until it was too late. Then there was the amnesty period, which I also missed. Yes, sloth does not pay off (sometimes).
Yeah, I’m apparently not special either. I do think the ‘join date’ should count for something, though.

That’s pretty much how it went for me too. I do have faith that one of these days my slothfullness will result in riches beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve been training for that day my whole life.
Actually, I’ve got all mere members on my ignore list. I only see posts from those superior folks known as charter members.
