Here I am in my new digs. I’ve got my old piece of crap computer hooked up for email and StraightDope purposes, I’ve got the PlayStation hooked up, I’ve got the cable strung into my little personal space, I’ve got the new Futon bed set to sleep on … SOMEONE COME PLAY WITH ME!!!
Snooooopy, Slackergirl, woodstockbirdybird any other East Bay Doper … I want a playmate.
You see I decided to celebrate my successful move-in/cable-hook-up by drinking a great deal of beer and hooking up the kick-and-play computer. Now I’m drunk and bored.
Someone save me!!
If not today, then PLEASE come rescue me tomorrow. Not too early though, 'cause I’ll probably be a little hung over.
Jack Batty signing off … [sub]Have I ever told you how absolutely dwlicious Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is?[/sub]
I’m there Mr. Batty, sir. All I need is a plane ticket, a babysitter, a good excuse for work, a good excuse for my husband (or another plane ticket) and my own contoller.
Hey, slackergirl and I are going to see “The Mummy Returns” on Sunday. Do you want to join our merry band? We’re going to see the 12:15 or 1:30 showing of it at Jack London Square.
You ass-knocker! You should have said something earlier yesterday! psy is out of town and I’mm all by my lonesome. I’m sooo bored.
Speaking of crappy computers, I just got an old 486 Win 3.11 box set up on my network. It has 12 MB of ram and it seems to be faster than this AMD-K6 500MHz with 160 MB ram!
I think I’m gonna switch to Win 3.11.
If you wanna go have a beer or something, e-mail me or ICQ/AIM me. I’d be willing to take a little trip down to the city today, but can’t stay very late. Have to be back to get the kids showered and in bed.
Hey Jack – congrats on the new pad. The kids still say “pad” don’t they?
If I weren’t halfway across the country, I’d stop on by, grab a Playstation controller, and proceed to layeth down the smack on you in Gran Turismo (or alternatley a game of your choosing with the exception of Tony Hawk which, for some reason, I seem to really suck at).
I can bring some delicious Black and Tans from Gray’s brewery (Janesville, WI. Man, do I love the glut of microbrews these days) and we can mix 'em up with the Sierra Nevadas. Just don’t blame me if you forget to crack a window open the next morning.
