My mother recently debated my aunt over whether I had a degree. My dear aunt said that she thought that I had a college degree, and my mother insisted that I did not. She called me and asked me to set my aunt straight.
I said, “Mom. I DO have a degree, a Bachelor of Arts. I dropped out of law school.”
She said, “Oh.” She had no idea what the difference was.
