Yes, because it’s not old and tired to post the “teehee look how clever I am, I will pretend to like Trump because Hillary will crush him” crap. Like you invented it or something.
Is this sarcasm? Was your false dig about me not pointing out liberal bullying when I actually explicitly did also sarcasm? It’s so hard to tell sometimes.
As pointed before and elsewhere, there is a lot of Republicans that are criticizing Trump. For getting into the pea pod with nativist bullies.
And it is not only in the Political world, what gave me hope for the future was seeing many SDMB conservatives repudiating Trump for this and other reasons. Like making it less likely that the Republicans will use the Oval Office any time soon.
That it is really you and other Trunp supporters the ones that do not notice that that saying about “Be careful what you wish for” applies very well to you and your ilk that is wilfully ignoring what that extreme nativism will lead to.
But we are happy to see you guys drive the clown car over the precipice.
Well, except Obama…and Bush…and Bill Clinton… and Ronald Reagan…and Carter…and Ford…and Johnson… and Kennedy…and Eisenhower and Roosevelt and the other Roosevelt.
You may have scored with Bush I and Nixon, though!
I was listening to yesterday’s Maddow show earlier this morning and she played a couple clips of Trump’s speeches. He is very, very good at sounding like your best friend, I’ll give him that. Not feeling particularly driven to vote for him though.
It’s bullying, because, in order to boast about his sexual success, Trump insulted a woman who was just minding her own business. He couldn’t just talk about all the beautiful women he’s dated; he had to try and pump up his desirability by insulting someone else.
The fact that the insult involved the common misogynistic trope of slamming her for her age is just the cherry on the top of his pathological megalomania.
When Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton announce that they would totally have dated Brad Pitt, back before he became such an ancient hag, you be sure to let us know.
Bill Clinton knew how to carry it off, yes. He’s the only one, really. Not Reagan - he was as wooden/robotic/formulaic as others. Definitely not Bush - either of them. Carter was not natural. I have heard Ford/Johnson/Kennedy speeches, no, they were maybe “presidential” but definitely not natural. The others are before my time, but I very much doubt they were natural sounding.
According to the latest CNN poll, Trump is the first choice of 24% of Republican voters - more than any other candidate. But, importantly, he is the second choice of 14% of Republican voters - again, more than any other candidate. So don’t delude yourself that 25% is his ceiling.
Here is an article on Trump voters - in their own words. It shows the amazing versatility of Trump. He is everything to everyone. A consummate salesman. He is pulling voters from all corners. Keep "teehee"ing, iiiandiiii. See if you will be crying by the end of it.
(my emphasis). So, you agree that he does attack people who haven’t attacked him first?
I don’t follow the logic here. You are saying that a person is probably being bullied because they don’t have the size and strength to retaliate, and that the solution to this bullying is for them to retaliate. Because responding to violence with violence leads to less violence. I am sincerely confused.
In the course of this thread, you’ve gone from Trump hits those who hit him first to Trump seeks revenge against those who have “slighted” him.
Keeping score, holding grudges, finding offense even if none was intended - how is this not bullying behavior?

…Reagan - he was as wooden/robotic/formulaic as others…

Reagan? Ronald Reagan? The actor who became President??
[QUOTE=inscrutable]
Maybe not so much “hate”, but rather, the concern over an increasing proportion of the population that “costs” more than it contributes.

I presume you are referring “red” states like Mississippi, correct?
Yes, that Reagan. Yeah yeah I know supposedly “great communicator”. I was in the US 7 out of his 8 years in office. I was not impressed with his speeches/appearances. I am not impressed with Obama’s either.
