Haven’t had one in a few years. I used to have a Kawasaki KZ1000. I don’t wanna spend big bucks on a new one, so I’m getting the one I drooled over in high school; a 1984 Yamaha FJ1100.
FWIW- I just bought “A Twist of the Wrist” vols I & II, a book from MSF, and I’m signed up for the MSF course.
Can’t wait to ride again. REALLY can’t wait to go down the 1/4 mile.
Very nice looking street drag bike, lots of hooligan potential when suitably tweaked, at least that’s true for the Kwakka.
FJ1100, it’s seen as being a classic and owners seem to hang on to them, there is lots of stuff on the net, and I think there is a club dedicated to them.
Bit of a big lump but at least you will do plenty of damage to any offending cage should one try to take you out.
You may want to read the second book in the series first, it has more info that would apply in street riding situations, the first book has more info that would apply to racing.(in my opinion)
