I'm getting soft

There was a point in my life when I was a hardcore music lover. I was very diserning, only listening to the cream of the crop, the best music available. Hey, I didn’t deal in black tar herion, only china white, you know what I’m sayin’?
I’m talking here about the Minutemen , My Bloody Valentine, Ornette Coleman, Public Enemy, Einsturzende Neubauten, Count Basie. Not the lightweights.

But then something happened. I got weak. I got soft. The first time I noticed it was when I started humming along to Livin’ on the Edge by Areosmith. This disturbed me. Then I realized, much to my own horror, that I LIKED Aerosmith, but only the NEW stuff. Christ, what a blow.

Then it was Olivia Newton-John.
Then it started spiraling out of control. I won’t mention the names here as I might inadvertantly summon a nether demon from the 70’s if I do.
Just think Feels So Good and Thunder Island.

Things only got worse from there, if you can imagine that, but today I think I have hit rock bottom.

Yes, I have been listening to the Moulon Rouge Soundtrack and when Come What May came on I was literallyMOVED TO TEARS!

Damn them. Danm them to hell!
Saints preserve us, what is happening? I don’t know who I am anymore. Have I slipped into insanity?

AM I GOING MAD!
So, I humbly ask you 2 questions now:

  1. Has anyone else noticed this happening to them? Am I alone or are there others?
  2. If so, what was the catylist, and how bad has it gotten?
I hope for your sake it hasn’t gotten as badas it has with me.
    …Moulon Rouge…

Why, God, why.

nope just you.
